Short, because the site does little.
What this is. A non-commercial beta that turns openly licensed research papers into narrated walkthroughs, editable slides and short cuts. It is free, carries no advertising, and may be taken down or changed at any time.
What the videos are. Adaptations, generated by software and reviewed imperfectly. They are not the paper, not peer-reviewed, and not endorsed by the authors. Every page credits the authors, links the source and names the licence. Cite the paper, not the video.
How they are checked. Before anything is published, the figures and the numbers on screen are matched automatically against the source paper, and a person decides whether to publish it. A smaller number of papers have also had a full frame-by-frame visual review; where that has not been completed, the paper's own page says “source checked · visual review incomplete” rather than implying otherwise. That process has found real errors and it will miss some, and it is not a guarantee of correctness. If something is wrong, tell us and we will correct or remove it.
What you may do with them depends on the paper each one is built from, and every page states its basis. For a CC BY source you may reuse and redistribute the walkthrough and deck, including in your own teaching and talks, if you credit the authors, link the licence and indicate what was changed. For CC0 there are no conditions. A paper published here on an author's permission alone carries no reuse grant — ask them. See the licence policy.
What we ask of you. Do not try to exhaust the service, scrape it wholesale, or upload papers you have no right to send. Rate limits exist and will refuse you before we do. These protect access to this service; they do not and cannot withdraw any right the content's own licence gives you.
No warranty. Provided as it is, with no guarantee of accuracy or availability. Decisions that matter should rest on the paper.
